Candles From the Keeping Room - Pink Lilac and Willow

Scent Description: Notes of blue willow, water lilies, lilac blossoms, muguet, linden blossoms, wild bamboo, magnolia fields, mandarin leaf nuances, and subtle musk. I get a very flowery vibe from this. It reminds me of Summers at home and shopping for plants with my mom. It's a bittersweet thing. Maybe because I'm on my period again feeling particularly nostalgic about my past as I move forward in life. Maybe it's because I also remember that my Dad never liked the smell of flowers because it reminded him of graveyards.
Weight Melted: 1.0 oz
Cold Sniff: 3/5 Very heavy on the lilac. I couldn't pick anything else out here
Warm Sniff: 4/5 The other notes were able to make their appearance, but this was a very heavy lilac scent.
Scent Strength: 2/3
Scent Throw: 4/5 This didn't quite fill all of the bedroom
Melting Power: 4/5 I got about 15 hours of scent from this tart.
Repurchase: Yes. It was a very nice Spring and Summer type scent.

Jaimie Lauren Cupcakery and Confections In Wax - Carnival

Scent Description: Cake batter, strawberry crunch, and cotton candy.
Weight Melted: 1.7 oz.
Cold Sniff: 5/5 I really enjoyed this. It wasn't too sweet, but you could definitely get all of the notes in this scent.
Warm Sniff: 5/5
Scent Strength: 1/3
Scent Throw: 5/5 Oh my! Everywhere! It was very light in the bedroom but still there, nonetheless.
Melting Power: 4/5 >16 hours. I fell asleep around that mark and the scent was gone by the time I woke up, so I know it lasted somewhere between 16 and 22 hours.
Repurchase: Yes! I was able to cut this chunk into two and depending on how long I want it to last, I might be able to chop that last chunk up. As I've melted more of my JLCCW stash my excitement level for their opening has just grown! How about you? Have you ever melted JLCCW before?

Jaimie Lauren Cupcakery & Confections In Wax - Sex On the Beach + Aloha Pineapple

To celebrate JLCCW's potential reopening (does anyone else remember the last time they tried reopening?) I decided it was time to break out this pie!
Scent Description: Since JLCCW is closed, I must use my sniffer to describe this! I get a banana gum smell mixed with something pineapple and a hint of vanilla.

Weight Melted: 2.5 oz I had such a hard time chopping this up. Not due to the wax being too hard, but my own ineptitude. It was horrible. By the time I got a slice I decided I was just going to go with it and hope everything turned out okay.
Cold Sniff: 3/5 That weird gum smell was... well, weird!
Warm Sniff: 4/5 This is a very sweet pineapple scent. I enjoyed it!
Scent Strength: 1/3
Scent Throw: 5/5 This is a very light scent, but it still threw very far!
Melting Power: 5/5 I should've chopped the chunk up even more, but I was lazy. LOL. I got 36 hours of straight scent from this
Repurchase: Yes! If I could and JLCCW actually gets to open this year. I don't want to be pessimistic, but I keep thinking back to the last time Jen tried opening up again and she ended up pulling out of the project. I'm excited for the possibility that we could all get some lovely JLCCW again, but I won't get my hopes up like I did last time. I understand that life gets in the way and stuff happens, but dangit I really was looking forward to the opening that never happened!

In other news, I am completely sore right now. My shoulders are sore. My back is sore. My thighs are sore. My butt is sore. My outer abs are sore. I may have some lower belly flab, but I see muscle over the rest of my stomach. Woot! Such definition! It makes me happy!
Another area of my body that I'm working on (and why that area is so sore) is my arm area. I want definition! Tone! If you've ever seen Predators (2010), look at Isabelle's arms and that's what I'm aiming for.
M is almost off of his profile for his hips, and him and I will be able to start running together again. I'm intrigued as to what changes added cardio will make on my body.
For my food, I've taken to either having a protein shake or eggs (preferably eggs) every morning. That way I start off my day well fed and with a fair amount of sustenance. Besides that, I switch between healthy options (sandwich or soup or salad) and... well, not so healthy options (let's just eat popcorn all day, shall we?). Yeah. I'm working on it, though.

Candles From The Keeping Room - Fresh Picked Strawberry

Scent Description: From her website:"What can I say, this is the best most realistic strawberry around..lingers for hours..and will fill the room right out with this delicious aroma."
Weight Melted: 1.2 oz
Cold Sniff: 4/5 I wouldn't call this a realistic strawberry. It's too sweet, there's not enough green to it, and it still has a very artificial note to it. That being said, I still enjoyed the scent.
Warm Sniff: 4/5 Same as cold sniff. This is an amazing strawberry scent, but I still wouldn't qualify this as realistic. Maybe I'm too harsh in my expectations when I read 'realistic' but dangit, I wanted to soar through strawberry fields and pick fresh strawberries!
Scent Strength: 2/3
Scent Throw: 5/5 I was working in my bedroom closet for a few hours after starting this, and within 15 minutes of turning on my warmer I could smell this. I was very very very happy with how far this threw!
Melting Power: 5/5 I got about 36 hours of strong melting time from this little tart. I normally wouldn't let a tart melt for this long, but I just couldn't bring myself to call it a day while this was going so strong!
Repurchase: Yes! I almost picked it up at Carol's early May opening, but the entire experience that day made me decide to hold off until she opens up again come Fall. I've uh... been melting way too much CFTKR. I feel like I'm a walking talking CFTKR blog.
I can't help it that I left all her stuff in the box it came in and have it right next to the warmer!

Re-Melt Galore!

Random picture because everyone knows you don't read blog posts unless they have picture(s)!
I've been lacking in posts recently. No so much because I haven't been melting, but because it's been a whole truckload of re-melts. So here is a nice re-melt post; I'll link my original post in the name of the item and do a very quick blurb about performance/scent changes, if any!

The Bathing Garden - Vintage Christmas: No change. Still as pleasant and awesome as the first time I melted this. 2 cubes -approximately 1 oz, this was before I weighed stuff- filled most of the apartment and lasted for over 8 hours.
JMae's Soaps & Candles - Love Spell: This one died off quite quickly. I really just picked this because I didn't feel like taking a picture but I still wanted to melt something.
Front Porch - Strawberry Marshmallow Bread: Not much change. I melted one grubby, 1.2 oz, and it didn't throw far at all. Maybe the kitchen enjoyed this scent, but that was it. The scent didn't last as long, either. About 4 hours. There was more air flow and this layout is more open than the layout of the apartment I was in the last time I melted this... so there's that.
Cupcake Candles - Fluffy Pink Candy: Still as fantastic as the first two times I melted this. I was disappointed when I ran out LOL.
Lil' Kitchen Candles - Circus: No change, unfortunately.
The Bathing Garden - Elf Sweat: No change from the amazingness that this was but now I'm out and I don't believe I have any other TBG tarts. *starts sobbing hysterically*
Glitterati Candle Co - Cotton Candy Waffle Cone: No change! Of course, not much time has passed between my first melt and this one, but still, no change!
Glitterati Candle Co - Cucumber Melon Candy Cane: I melted my last of the 3 little chunks I got from the massive chunk Julie sent me. I kept telling myself I was going to save this for a rainy day once I'd run out of Glitterati, but... um... self control is not a strong point for me, LOL! Now I'm out of Glitterati until my name comes up on the customs list, which will be a while. Oops.

I have 10-15 other melts that I know are re melts, but it appears that their original post was removed in my purge in January. I don't really care to rewrite those posts, nor did I take notes with the intention of a full review, so I'm going to leave them at that and not mess with it. Sorry, guys!

Candles From the Keeping Room - Almost Paradise

Scent Description: Coconut. Very pleasant, light coconut.
Weight Melted: 0.8 oz.
Cold Sniff: 3/5 I'm not particularly a coconut fan after a bad experience with some coconut rum, but this was pleasant enough.
Warm Sniff: 4/5 I don't know how to describe this besides nature and coconuts and light wanders down the beach. Word porn ftw :)
Scent Strength: 1/3
Scent Throw: 3/5 This stayed in the living room and most of the kitchen. When M got home he told me he could tell there was something melting, but it wasn't strong at all.
Melting Power: 3/5 I let this go for 6 hours before I called it quits. I couldn't smell it anymore :(
Repurchase: Sadly, we have another dud from CFTKR. It was a pleasant smell, but it was too light and didn't throw enough for me to want to buy any more.

I've been melting a lot, but it's been a lot of stuff I've already posted about. I've still taken notes, though, and I'm contemplating doing a post on comparing my re-melts to my initial melts.

Candles From The Keeping Room - Birthday Cake

Scent Description: When you sniff this you'll get a cake batter scent. If you've ever had cake batter ice cream, this smells just like that. Delicious!
Weight Melted: 1.0 oz
Cold Sniff: 4/5 Sweet, authentic cake batter!
Warm Sniff: 2/5 Unfortunately, once I warmed this the scent died away and I was left with a vague vanilla scent mixed with what can only be described as 'waxy'.
Scent Strength: 1/3
Scent Throw: 3/5 This filled the kitchen and most of the living room.
Melting Power: 2/5 I let this melt for about 6 hours before I called it quits.
Repurchase: No. This is the first dud from my March order. It's probably for the best - my wishlist keeps growing far beyond what I could realistically buy in a single opening from Carol. As it was, her opening this past Saturday was so horrid that I stopped half way through filling my cart, when I still had 10 perfectly good scents that made it in. I talked with M afterwards and ultimately decided that my stash would have to last me until Carol decides to open again come Fall time.
I've never had good luck with any previous Birthday Cake scents, either. They always smell amazing on cold sniff and lose something when melted. I continue my search for... *dramatic sigh* the perfect Birthday Cake scent.

Candles From The Keeping Room - Strawberry Raspberry Torte

Scent Description: Generic berries with a hint of something almost batter-like. I'm not sure what the 'torte' part is supposed to be.
Weight Melted: 0.8 oz.
Cold Sniff: 4/5 Berry galore.
Warm Sniff: 4/5 The cold and warm sniffs were the same.
Scent Strength: 1/3
Scent Throw: 4/5 This didn't quite reach the bedroom.
Melting Power: 4/5 10 hours before I switched it out.
Repurchase: Most likely not. This smelled like a less sweet version of  Very Berry Twist. Not quite unique enough for me to want a bag of this on its own, but nonetheless pleasant. If you aren't able to get ahold of Very Berry Twist, or want something less sweet, pick this baby up.

While rereading this post in preparation to post it, I realize I seem rather curt and... I don't know. Short tempered? All I will say on the matter is I don't have enough chocolate to keep me going through this week. LOL I also ended up rambling for my 'repurchase' section about how working out has been and I made absolutely no sense. I'm going to try and take a nap and see if my mind clears enough from the combination of working out and... well... Aunt Flo... and try to write up a post about my fitness. It's long overdue and at this point I don't think it's just going to be a 'fad' for me.
