Rosegirls - Faith, Hope, and Love

Scent Description: A blend of Wildberry and Fairy Floss. I give up on getting legitimate scent descriptions from RG :) I remember mentioning in my haul post for this scent that I thought it was a dupe of the Candy Mountain bubble bar scent from Lush (I think the scent is called Rock Star). I currently have both products in front of me so I can do a better comparison. And I have to say I was rather wrong about the dupe thought. Candy Mountain is sweet and sugary. Faith, Hope, Love is sweet and sugary. But I have to say that's where the similarities end. FHL is sugary without being suffocating, with a hint of very sweet berries, while CM is just sweet all around. Cotton Candy-esque, almost.
Weight Melted: 2.0 oz.
Cold Sniff: 5/5
Warm Sniff: 5/5
Scent Strength: 1/3
Scent Throw: 5/5
Melting Power: 4/5 ~22 hours
Repurchase: Yes! I found my bag of this while going through and cleaning out some very old wax I had, and I got super excited when I realized what this was. I thought I'd destashed all of my Rosegirls away, but instead I found not only a small treasure trove of scents, but my all time favorite RG blend. Next time I melt this, I'll chop up my chunks further so I only have 1 oz going. I stayed with the chunk's original size of 2 ounces because I wasn't sure how it would perform after 2 years of hiding away.
If anything I think the scent may have gotten lighter, but the overall performance was still the same and the scent was strong enough that I could still smell it. I'd say I'm still happy with this blend.

Rosegirls - Soothing Lavender Dreams

Scent Description: I couldn't find a scent description from the groups' many files. The scent I got was a generic bakery with a hint of something flowery.
Weight Melted: 2.0 oz.
Cold Sniff: 2/5 Seriously... where is the lavender?
Warm Sniff: 2/5
Scent Strength: 1/3
Scent Throw: 5/5
Melting Power: 4/5 20 hours of scent from this
Repurchase: No. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with how long I've had this tart (2 years) but I could not pick up anything but bakery here. There wasn't any lavender. Really there was nothing besides the bakery. I pulled this out to melt over the course of our 4-day weekend that we were using to host a super LAN party and this helped to keep the odors down, but I wouldn't use this on its own if I actually cared about what I was melting.

Candles From the Keeping Room - Honey Bee

Scent Description: I definitely get something reminiscent of honey when smelling this. I think the scent was meant to be modeled after what you would smell from a nest, not from pure honey itself. There's something waxy and soapy here, too. I think of fake flower wreaths when I smell this.
Weight Melted: 0.9 oz.
Cold Sniff: 3/5
Warm Sniff:2/5 There was something crusty to the scent as this melted. It wasn't very pleasing to my nose.
Scent Strength: 1.5/3
Scent Throw: 3/5 This filled most of the kitchen and living room, but didn't extend anywhere else
Melting Power: 3/5 ~6 hours before I called it quits. It was beginning to die off anyway.
Repurchase: No. If It smelled how it did on cold sniff I may have wanted to buy this, but the warm sniff added in some weird notes I couldn't quite get over.

Order of the Odor: Volume 11

Happy Summer! We here at the Order hope your days are bright and sunny and the wax is melting in the warmers and not the mail boxes. Please join us in answering this month's questions:

If you could create any theme for a wax tart collection what would it be? What three scents would you have in this themed collection?

(Are you ready to be surprised and blown away by my theme selection?)
...
VIDEO GAMES!
I know, it's not original and it's probably not a surprise, but video games are one of my lifelong passions so I decided to just roll with it. If I were truly making these to sell I'd come up with a more exciting theme name, but the gist would be the same. Now, on to three scents!
Peachy Pink: Princess Peach may not be able to stop getting kidnapped, but she sure is gonna make sure she smells good for it! What better scent than a peach, mixed with something Pink, a dash of vanilla, and just a hint of cherry blossoms leave the men swooning for more.
Sim-ple Pleasures: In the Sims, did you ever wonder what was in that perfume your Sims kept spritzing on to become instantly more attractive? How about a sensual combination of floral, champagne, musk, mahogany, white chocolate, and the obvious vanilla? These notes combine to paint a sweet and sultry, slightly youthful picture for those around you. Light in strength but complex in tone, this scent will help set that romantic mood.
Days of Ark: This would be as natural a scent as I could achieve, with subtle hints of flower fields and woodsy forests. A hint of musky greens with a dash of salty ocean air. Smelling this would take you to an island, completely cut off from mankind or technology. Looking around, you might see some strange creatures. Some look friendly, some don't.What you do with them is up to you... :)
Bear with my scent descriptions. I wanted to have fun with it.

Deb melted a tart from Dessa's recently that was so good, so strong that she is even saving it to melt and reuse again! It is a delicious fruity bakery that she thinks you need to try before she scoops them all up for herself. You've been warned.

Sunnee's Rosegirls sampler came this past month and it will full of brightly colored and highly fragrant chunks of happiness. See which ones stood out as her favorites and which just didn't make the cut. Get ready to feast your eyes!

Flaming Star Scents used to be Pic, Petals and Scents and Liz recently melted a nice huge chunk from PPS that has had plenty of cure time! So how did this old wax perform? And what has Liz been up to lately?

Subscription box popularity is going as strong as ever. Lauren bought a box recently that any waxy home fragrance lover would enjoy. It comes with three tiers of price points, amazing packaging and high quality candles to boot. Ready to be enabled?

Thirty Street Crafts creates a fun themed wax release about every month. June's release was built around a circus theme. Julie scooped up an order of her very favorite wax tart shape to date... any guesses?

Who doesn't love a "Favorites" post?! Michelle lays it out for us and lists her all time Top 5 Vendors for us and why in her most recent post. The best part? You can order from almost all of them right now!
