Happy Mail From Deb!

Deb from It's Always Something sent me a lovely package that arrived earlier this week. Now that the craziness has died down, I finally have a chance to share with you the amazing stuff she sent!

First off is the amazing card she made! Yes! Deb made  this with her own two hands! I'm amazed by the quality of the cards she's sent since she started her Project Life/card making adventure this year. These are seriously things I would expect to find in a specialty card store. So gorgeous!

Next up is wax, of course! Deb really set me up with some wax I've been missing out on while I've been in Korea!

First up is ScentSationals!

Spice It Up: Cinnamon bark and sweet orange.
Super sweet and delectable cinnamon. I feel like I'm sniffing at a bag of Cinnamon Imperials, which I happen to love.

Scarlet Cypress Wreath: Sweet currant, bayberries, and evergreen fir.
Sweet fir berry explosion. The packaging picture perfectly matches what I smell!

On to Mainstays brand!

Spiced Cranberry: No description available.
A slightly tart cranberry mixed with cinnamon. Different from most spiced cranberry scents I've tried, but still good!

Pecan Pumpkin Cake: No description available.
Bready pumpkin pie mixed with just a hint of sweet pecans on the exhale.

Next... Better Homes and Gardens!

Fall Into Autumn: Acorns, green apples, smooth applewood, red cedar, white orchard pear, spiced harvest berry.
YAY! I get to try the wax Deb has mentioned several times since it came out! I definitely agree with her; this is a winter scent more than fall. Pear & apple cider come to mind while sitting on the porch and listening to the forest around you. I want to build a campfire now. LOL

Christmas Morning Latte: No description available.
Hot cocoa mixed with coffee, cinnamon, and served with a side of french toast.

Sugared Lavender Twist: No description available
There HAS to be pink sugar in this! Pink sugar mixed with sweet and slightly herbal lavender makes for a very happy Liz. Pink sugar has a special place in my waxy heart because it's one of the first scents I melted as a newbie wax lover and I joined the wax world in the beginning of its pink sugar craze.

Cranberry Cookie Crumble: No description available.
Sweet cranberry cookies. While I don't care for eating stuff like this, I certainly thing they smell delicious! The cookies here aren't too bready at all and smell like actual cookies! Bonus!

First Winter Blizzard: Crushed peppermint leaf, smoked birch wood, fragrant pine, emerald holly leaf, ozone, mistletoe greens.
All of the notes combine to create a surprisingly gentle blend of crispy, wooded pines. On one whiff, it sways sweetly. On another, it leans towards a musky undertone that tickles my nose and wraps me up in its icy promises. I can't pinpoint it, but its complexity and the way it toes between masculine and feminine makes me swoon.

Last but not least, Deb sent a hearty helping of candy and Christmas themed goodies!

Thank you so much Deb! I'm in love with all of the wax you scent. How did you pick such amazing scents?!?! It's like you're in my brain and know exactly what I was craving. Thank you for being an awesome person, friend, and bloggy supporter!

  1. I'm glad you liked the package and glad it actually got to you! I did not make the embellishment in the center of the card though. That part was bought at Hobby Lobby last year.

Do you get an eggnog note from Christmas Morning Latte? I wasn't going to send you that because I was thinking you don't like coffee scents, but it seems so creamy and almost eggnog-like to me that I took a chance.

And I remembered you love lavender so Sugared Lavender Twist just had to go to you.

    Merry Christmas!

    1. I did get an eggnog note, but I couldn't figure out what it was until after I'd posted. I was worried when it said latte, but it doesn't seem like a typical coffee scent.

Who, me? Love lavender? Noooooo *scurries away to hide entire drawer of lavender themed tarts*
