Haul: Zoya Black Friday 2016

Who can resist a sale? A once in a lifetime opportunity? A 70% off sale from a brand that usually retails for anywhere between $8 and $10 and has consistently great performance on your nails? I don't know about you, but I sure couldn't resist. My only regret is that I did not unleash the crazy. Alas, it's time to wipe my tears and turn my attention to these beauties!

I submitted my order on November 25th and it shipped on December 1st. Due to shipping restrictions, this had to be shipped via boat and did not arrive until January 11th. Thus, this belated Black Friday haul post!

I bought two six-packs (wouldn't it be awesome if the same thing worked for abs?) and one loner.

These six are from the Enchanted collection, which was Zoya's 2016 holiday release.

L-R: Waverly, Alice, Saint, Elphie, Olivera, and Lorna.

This second set is from the Flair collection, or Zoya's Fall 2015 release.

L-R: Estelle, Giada, Ember, Aggie, Cinnamon, and Tris.

Last, but not least, I picked up Aspen, a matte velvet polish. I've always loved the frosted glass on these finishes.

Overall, I think I got a pretty nice variety of colors and finishes. I can't wait for my nails to finish growing out. In December, I had several nasty breaks down to the quick on six of my nails. I will wear these polishes, but they definitely won't be photographed or shared on the blog until they've finished growing out. I don't remember the last time I was this excited about polish. Wheeeee!

Do you wear nail polish frequently? Did you partake in this sale?

  1. I love Zoyas! I have more than half of these, as well as several others, and there's not a bad formula or ugly color in the bunch! This was the best promo deal I've seen; I like that they have frequent promos because they're pricy otherwise.

    1. The deal is what made me jump on it! I don't think I've ever seen a sale like that made the price similar to this, even when the polishes went for $7 and $8 normally.

I'm definitely a plan of their promos. I think the most I've ever paid for a single polish was $10, but the way I do my hauls/purchases is by averages. In that particular haul, I averaged to less than $2 per polish shipped and every single polish was worth $2 to me, so I was okay with it. Does that make sense? Am I a weirdo in my buying logic?

  2. Nice shades!! Dying to see that white one on you. Sorry to hear about your nails. I have been very naughty and peeling and biting at mine again. I need to get some polish on them before I revert. Looking forward to your swatches!

    1. My nails do not like the winters here. They dry up, peel, flake, and completely rip themselves to shreds if I don't stay on top of nail care. Must. Moisturize. Cuticles!

  3. Bah, shipping BS, you are the bane of my retail existence! Great picks, though - I got Saint before the holidays and it's GORGEOUS. But it has this super cool shimmer to it that makes it look a bit oily (?) in photographs, which means it's impossible to photograph. But oh, that colour is so beautiful - like Bachelor's Buttons. Enjoy your goodies!

    1. Aaah, the "why can't my camera capture you in all your glory?!?!?!" conundrum. Even though I have a different camera now, I still shy away from photographing neons because they used to break my camera. You don't have fingernails anymore. Just monochrome, radioactive blobs.

I agree, Saint is gorgeous. If it didn't fade the color, I would let this sit in the sun on my desk all day just to stare at it. LOL
