Band of Bloggers: March 2017 Volume 15

Welcome to the March edition of Band of Bloggers! Hopefully this month begins to bring more temperate weather and the first signs of spring! In my neck of the woods, conditions have been alternating between crazy heavy rain/high winds and beautiful sunshine and blooming flowers. I hope the weather will stabilize a bit this month. Since the month of March usually holds the first signs of spring, that begs the question:

What scent are your favorite scents to melt and wear for spring?

Are you a fan of traditional spring scents such as florals, fresh/clean, earthy, herbal, etc?

Do you consider yourself a seasonal melter (melting scents traditionally associated with a particular season in that season?)

I'm a big lavender lover, but I find that I amp up the lavender during the spring. It all started in 2014 with the release of Bath and Body Work's French Lavender & Honey scent, and I haven't looked back since then. As for scents I melt, I tend to lean more fresh, clean, or floral. Earthy scents have recently made their way into my rotation, but I haven't had the best luck finding earthy scents that work in wax form.

I would say I'm a fan of traditional Spring scents. I love fresh/clean all year round, though. It keeps me in the mood to keep the house clean. I didn't think anything besides floral was considered a traditional Spring scent, though.

As for seasonal melting.... I try to stay seasonal, but when I'm in a particular mood for a scent that fits better in Fall or Winter, I melt it. I can think of a very specific person who cringes every time I post about out of season melts. If only she knew how often I actually melt out of season...

We hope you'll join the fun and leave your own answer in the comments below.

And we hope you'll visit these Band of Blogger blogs and help support the blogger community!

  2. I adore lavender too, both in melts and body care! I've been smothering myself in BBW French Lavender & Honey lately. So good!

    1. FL&H is the first scent I actually bought in EDP form, it was so delicious. I have two or three backups of the mist, as well. I'm going to be absolutely devastated if B&BW ever discontinues the scent.

  3. Lavender and lemon is my jam this spring - who knew? (Everyone, everyone knew, it's a combination as old as the sun, Sandra!)

    1. Oooh that's a good blend, too. Funnily enough, I don't think I have that in wax form. I suppose I would blend it from some of the scents I already have... or I could buy it from a vendor already blended... *glances at wallet* LOL!

  4. Mmmmm lavender. I need more lavender in my life. Right now I am loving on Magician's Bonfire something fierce. I asked Shannon if she would make some more Deadly Sleeping Draught but so far, no dice. I have had a hand slap from TFS a time or two for early apple melting LOL! She keeps me in line.

    1. I have to admit, TFS's beady eyes have helped tone down my out of season melting.
Oooh Magician's Bonfire is amazing! I need to pick some more up before it's no longer available.

    2. Do you guys now the Clorox cleaner commercials with Nora Dunn scolding the lady for buying cheap fragrant cleaners? Well, Liz probably doesn't know it, but do you Julie? There is one where she is doing the Mom Stare and the girl says "I'll get some." Stare continues, and girls squirms "I will!"

THAT is what The Fall Slut does to you offenders. LOL

  5. This BBW's infrequent shopper just got her 1st taste of French Lavender & Honey, from a hand creme freebie no less, and now I'm hooked!
I can't stop thinking about the floral/bakery combos you melted oh maybe a month ago, from SMT I think. If I dig floral honey I bet there's got to be good floral bakery blends out there for me. I'll be on the search.
    Hope you're doing well:)
